A bit of a shock seeing Senegal beat England that soundly. Tuchel has a lot of work to do

That England lineup was kind of mixed "B"/"A" team though right? Especially the back line and Keeper. But also Senegal is a good team.Yeah England was mixing it up a bit, but they are one of the few teams that can put out 3 or 4 good first 11s. Senegal were without Mane, Pape Sarr, and Assane Diao. Although I'm not sure Mane should be a starter for Senegal anymore.

Sweden 4 Algeria 3 A crazy match that saw a weakened Sweden jump to a 4-0 lead only to hang on for the victory in the end with Algeria missing many chances. Algeria defence was really poor. England 1 Senegal 3 England experimenting and were outplayed and lose their first match to African opposition.

3 or 4? Maybe I'm pushing it.

Yeah, Canada wins with 4 points. In the Yank shield, the US finished dead last. Switzerland finished top with 2 wins and plus 6 goal diff.

True. They did not look so hot in the last Euro either but sleepwalked their way to the Final though so it is tough to gauge them.

I definitely enjoyed that. After a frustrating UEFA Nations League campaign that saw us relegated, where scoring was a major issue, it was nice to see eight goals against the top two teams in Concacaf (or should Canada be in there?) I appreciate this was far from a first choice lineup for the US, but after about 10 minutes this game had training match characteristics. @HomietheClown - your thoughts?Yeah Canada is the best Concacaf team. US is 3rd right now.

2025 EAFF E-1 Football Championship: 7 July 2025: South Korea 3–0 China 8 July 2025: Japan 6–1 Hong Kong It has to be mentioned that neither Japan nor South Korea are playing with European players, relying in local talent. However, I wouldn't be surprised if a few of those guys end up in the WC final squads, specially if they secure a move abroad.
