This is the place to air our grievances instead of the News & Analysis.. and the Ticketing thread. Hopefully it catches on but probably not. My turn. Ticket prices are higher than they've been before. We get it, move on. Fifa's audience are the TV advertisers (billions will watch), the US consumer market (we spend stupid money on entertainment), and committed international fans that want to see their team regardless of cost...and have some fun while doing it. At least, unlike Qatar, there's at least honesty/authenticity in what the US hosting the WC is all about.. a huge party, massive unabashed commercialism, stupid mascots, horrible I Believe chants, terrible public transportation, and a whole nation that will be extremely interested for a few weeks and then move on to whatever else is next.

On the social media, we're also seeing a proliferation of prejudices against the USA and its citizens, due to the tickets prices. I got some comments in French. "Trump et les États Unis gâchent l’expérience de la coupe du monde, aucun intérêt à faire le mondial la bas, c’est un pays qui n’a pas du tout cette culture" "La Russie est plus digne que les États Unis. Ce pays ultra capitaliste." "Le rêve américain" "Le soccer"

Whats hilarious is that the other match in that group is Belgium vs New Zealand. Like, they could have EASILY swapped that match. It is not like the two matches are wildly different in quality either.Iranians (besides diaspora) won't even be able to travel to Seattle. Are they just expecting that Iranian diaspora + any Egyptian fans and neutrals will be able to fill out the whole stadium? What are they even doing at this point?

UEFA's commitment to continuing its fair ticket pricing policy for EURO 2028 and for away fans in its club competitions really shows FIFA's ticket policy in a very bad light.

I would be extremely surprised if the Cup doesn't return to North America roughly every 4th cup. There aren't too many places to hold a tournament of the size that its become. The USA may not always be the main host, but a large proportion of matches will have to played there even if someone else hosts the final.Yup.

Some people worry the FIFA World Cup will never return to North America anytime soon after 2026.I would be extremely surprised if the Cup doesn't return to North America roughly every 4th cup. There aren't too many places to hold a tournament of the size that its become. The USA may not always be the main host, but a large proportion of matches will have to played there even if someone else hosts the final.

I would venture to guess that even Australia and New Zealand will combo with the USA in the future.That would be perfect for a 64 team tournament. 8 games a day. (Two seperate 32 team tournaments) All the matches staggered out so that none of them conflict due to time zone differentials. Would not have to travel much until the Final. Hawaii would be the nice midway point.

Maybe not exactly the same policies but they are not going to be charitable and keep prices low. That I would bet my life on.
