I would be extremely surprised if the Cup doesn't return to North America roughly every 4th cup. There aren't too many places to hold a tournament of the size that its become. The USA may not always be the main host, but a large proportion of matches will have to played there even if someone else hosts the final.This is largely my take as well. South America doesn't even want to host it's own continental tournament half the time due to cost. They aren't hosting a full tournament anytime soon. I would venture to guess that even Australia and New Zealand will combo with the USA in the future.

We have seen athletes in many American sports not want to participate within LGBT type of matches or ceremonies. One of the many I can point to is the NY Rangers hockey club being asked to wear rainbow uniforms but instead wore the statue of liberty uniforms in protest. So not all American cultures agree with your opinion.

Multiple hosts could be the dominant new format, which would be a shame from an atmosphere and experience viewpoint. However, it would enable future South American and possibly African World Cups. Mexico could be included in a Brazil based World Cup. Besides which the idea of 'turns' has been ditched by FIFA as it reduces competition. I can't see the USA ever accepting a position as junior partner in a joint bid. 32 years between North American World Cups. 2030 Iberia + Morocco, 2034 Saudi Arabia, 2038 somewhere else maybe South America, maybe China, 2042 Europe, 2046 whichever of Asia or South America didn't host 2038, possibly Australia. Or Africa. Could be looking at 2050 or beyond. FIFA voting members love money but they're also domestic political creatures. If the head of a country says don't vote for the USA then the FIFA vote won't go to the USA. The USA is very unpopular at globally currently. Hopefully that will change and there is plenty of time for it to change before future FIFA votes.
