I was hoping for Abatti (and still hope he's a darkhorse late round candidate), but the writing was kind of on the wall for Sampaio, I think. Overall, the policy of bringing out perceived "big guns" early is there, though Omar kind of sticks out, but then again you need to find a place for everyone and I imagine that's not a place to burn Elfath or Barton early so CAF does make sense.

Vincic wasn’t what I expected. Though it’s also a match that could sink a big referee early and Vincic feels more sinkable than the other big UEFA alternatives. So maybe I should have seen it coming.
