How are Mexico and Canada viewed as world cup hosts?

For a bit of context, I am Canadian and I just recently started watching football, mainly because we were hosting the world cup, and I was really excited for it, until I saw everyone(completely understandably) shitting on the States for all sorts of reasons( lack of public transport/walkability, xenophobia, general lack of footballing culture, etc). Honestly, it's completely overshadowed the fact that Canada and Mexico are also hosts, without most of the problems that the States has(mostly just the political problems). Do you also think that way about us?
