Malick Thiaw is a German centre-back who began his professional career at Schalke 04, where he won the 2. Bundesliga title in 2022. He later moved to AC Milan, adding the Italian Super Cup to his honors, and in 2025 joined Newcastle United in the Premier League. Thiaw also helped Germany win the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in 2021.
Thiaw is a physically imposing defender known for his strength in aerial duels and solid positioning. He reads the game well and is comfortable building play from the back, though his pace can be exposed against quicker forwards. His tactical discipline and ability to organize the defense make him a reliable centre-back.
